Institution of Communication Engineers and Information Technologists (ICEIT) is a professional society (registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI 1860) for advancement of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). ICT is a relatively young, dynamic, high impact technology touching almost all spheres of life and the society. It is knowledge intensive. The Institution assists ICT professionals in formulation of ideas, creation of knowledge communities, development of techniques and technologies and implementation of effective solutions for better industrial productivity, spread of education and transparent and efficient governance. All members are bound by code of conduct and professional ethics as propounded by the Institution.

The Institution has a broad vision as ICT transcends engineering, computing, telecommunications, sciences (including life sciences and medicine), management, finance, economics, humanities and social sciences. The Institution welcomes participation of academics, professionals and practitioners in the above and other ICT related areas. The Institution promotes all efforts to bridge the digital divide for accelerated development.
